Program Overview
BOJ Residential Homes provides a structured 60–90-day residential treatment program for female adolescents struggling with substance use and co‑occurring behavioral health challenges. The program combines clinical treatment, education, wellness development, and family engagement to support long‑term recovery.
Residents participate in online academic classes, substance use education, group counseling, wellness activities, and structured daily routines that help build stability, accountability, and life skills.
Skills Building
A structured program designed to teach practical life and coping skills, including emotional regulation, problem-solving, decision-making, stress management, and relapse prevention to support long-term recovery and independence
Group Counseling
Structured, therapist-led sessions where residents engage with peers to discuss recovery topics, share experiences, and build support networks. Group counseling promotes accountability, communication skills, and peer encouragement in a safe, supportive environment.
Individual Counseling
Admission Criteria
BOJ Residential Homes accepts adolescents who require a structured and supportive residential environment to address substance use and behavioral health challenges.
- Youth ages 13–17 with a diagnosis or suspected substance use disorder.
- Individuals who require a structured 24‑hour supervised residential setting.
- Residents able to participate in therapy groups, educational programming, and wellness activities.
- Youth who can safely participate in a community‑based residential setting.
- Referrals accepted from families, behavioral health providers, hospitals, schools, and probation officers.

Our Programs
Trauma-Informed Care
An approach that recognizes the impact of past trauma on behavior and substance use. Services are delivered in a safe, respectful, and empowering manner, emphasizing trust, choice, collaboration, and emotional safety.
Online Academic Program
An accredited or approved virtual learning platform that allows residents to continue their education while in treatment. The program supports academic progress, routine development, and future goal setting in a structured environment.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
A structured, evidence-based therapy that helps residents identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors related to substance use, replacing them with healthier coping strategies and decision-making skills.
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
A therapeutic modality that focuses on teaching mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to help residents manage intense emotions and reduce harmful behaviors.
Wellness Program
A holistic approach to health that includes physical fitness, nutrition education, mental health awareness, and self-care practices to promote overall well-being and support recovery.
Building Healthy Relationships
Programming focused on developing positive interpersonal skills, setting appropriate boundaries, improving communication, and fostering respectful, supportive relationships with peers, family, and the community.
Social Activities to Prevent Isolation
Structured recreational and community-based activities designed to promote social engagement, reduce isolation, and encourage healthy peer interactions while reinforcing sobriety and positive lifestyle choices.
Discharge Criteria
Residents may be discharged when treatment goals have been achieved or when another level of care is more appropriate.
- Successful completion of the 60–90-day program.
- Demonstrated progress in relapse prevention and coping skills.
- Stabilization of behavioral health symptoms.
- Transition to outpatient therapy or community‑based support services.
- Return home with family or transition to another appropriate placement with a continuing care plan.

- Individualized treatment plan developed within 24 hours of admission
Insurance and Payment Options
BOJ Residential Homes works with many insurance providers to ensure access to treatment. The program accepts multiple behavioral health insurance plans and also offers private pay options.
Our admissions team assists families and referral partners with insurance verification and coverage information.
